Why Is It Called A Yard? [Solved]
Wow, talk about a long time ago! That’s pretty cool that King Henry I was able to set the yard as the distance from his nose to his thumb. It’s amazing how something so simple has been used for centuries and is still used today. A cubit being the distance from elbow to fingertips is also pretty neat.
