Well, it’s pretty simple: they figured that since the Babylonians used 60 as their base number, each angle of an equilateral triangle should be 60 degrees. So when you add up all the angles of the 6 triangles that make up a circle, you get 360 degrees - 6 x 60 = 360. Easy peasy!
